The breakfast and the staff were very pleasant. However, several of the facilities listed were missing.

First, the staff are super friendly and helpful, especially Ives and Gilbert. The room was clean and everything functioned properly, and the Wi‑Fi speed was adequate. The food at the restaurant was decent and came in large portions. We didn’t get the room we had booked because a larger group of factory workers occupied all rooms except for the ‘dorm’ apartment, where we stayed. That was a bit odd, since the ‘dorm’ has five bedrooms and two bathrooms while we were only two people. The other rooms appeared more comfortable and cozy. Also, the Google Maps location titled ‘Palm Garden Lodge’ that links to ‘Palm Garden Resort’—and which is mentioned in the Lonely Planet East Africa travel book—is not the same place; the rooms differ and there is no lake access.
