I loved the amazing stuff, but the facility felt a bit old.
“Básico demais para o preço”
The view of Kilimanjaro was lovely and the manager gave helpful tips; the staff were very friendly and polite, and they let us leave our luggage after checkout. However, the bathroom lacked a towel rack, had no shower screen and leaked water all over the room, the room smelled of strong insecticide after a wax treatment, had no hangers or luggage racks, only one towel and one pair of slippers on arrival, and the common area had three loose dogs. In the restaurant, the chairs were uncomfortable, we had to fetch the card machine from elsewhere, and the breakfast was basic with no juice, just half a banana, three tiny watermelon pieces, an omelet, and toast. Service was slow and the staff seemed unsure what to do, and the price wasn’t cheap given how little was offered.
“Empfehlenswert für kleines Geld”
The staff were very friendly, the green grounds had nice seating, and breakfast was tasty; we could check in early. Unfortunately, the toilet seat was broken and some towels were stained. It’s a bit off‑center from the city, but Bolt/Uber connections are good.
The staff were top‑class, kind and available—everything was perfect! The only downside was the dog that howled every night.
“Moshi accommodation”
The location of Royal wonders gives you a good view of Kilimanjaro on a clear day. Breakfast was basic but substantial. It is good for solo travellers as well as group one. Their funky decor was nice. We were able to walk (20+ mins) to some restaurants nearby. When I inquired about prices for certain services, the price given to me by staff on the ground did not match the price relayed to me via WhatsApp or booking(dot)com messages. The transfer arranged by the hotel to pick me up was a reckless driver and he went to the wrong pick up point. The airport transfer to drop me off was a better driver, but we were stopped by police because of outstanding fines by previous drivers. I would not recommend this and just book tranafers through Booking(dot)com as this has been smoother in my other leg of the journey
