The location was great, with nice views of a water treatment plant and offshore rigs; the breakfast offered was limited but fresh and organized by the pool, and there was a brewery coffee pot. The property feels very dated and worn, with paint peeling, huge ductwork running up the side of the building and rusting, an old noisy AC unit that’s loud, rusty patio furniture at the pool falling apart, filthy screens on windows that are falling apart, and for what they charge it could be much better. Getting to the hotel off Hwy 101 is a pain, and the travel to the next exit miles away to access it from the north only is inconvenient.

The view of the Pacific is one of a kind, and the staff were friendly and helpful. However, the room’s furnishings were very old and worn, the included breakfast was simple, and the price we paid didn’t match the on‑site conditions.

The location was superb, the room and view were superb, and dinner was lovely.

The pool was very nice. The bedding was dirty blanket. Why is there no soap?
