I liked my “Twin Room,” but the “Stairs” felt awkward, especially since I had a recent right hip replacement and expected a lift. I couldn’t get any signal on the TV, so I couldn’t watch anything; I reported this to hotel staff in the morning so it could be fixed. Another issue was the lack of parking near the Cross Keys Hotel, forcing me to park my Motability car four streets away and haul my luggage, which was tough with my hip replacement. The staff could have been a bit more helpful given my situation, and the dinner was bland and tasteless. I don’t normally complain, but I think a few changes are needed. Regards, Linda Joanne Ritson.

The staff were very friendly and helpful especially Kaden and Aleesha, they actually took our bags to our room. We had room 4 &5. Room 5 was big but both rooms were great, clean , good bed great shower. We also met the manager Wil, who could not do enough. He has a great very friendly team. Location was great and the bar facilities couldn’t ask for more . Didn’t have food but it looked nice. 5 star but only paying 3 star prices, great value. Will absolutely be back but I can see it will be hard to book as I think there is only about 7 rooms. Nothing

The spot is spot‑on, right in Peebles’ centre. We stayed three days, but housekeeping never cleaned the room during that time, and we had to ask for the heater to be turned on.

We booked a room that had an extra sofa bed for a child, which gave us plenty of space and it was spotless. Everyone on the staff was super friendly and made us feel right at home. Later we stopped by the downstairs pub for a drink and enjoyed the live music. I’d definitely return!
