Nothing positive. Carpet was soaking wet upon arrival, black mold covered the air vents, and the place smelled like mold.

“Vastly overpriced for a decrepit motel”

It was an available property for a football game and the area felt safe. The buildings are worn, dark, and the room feels like it’s from the 1990s. Furniture looks dirty, there was a broken glass in the kitchen, the stair treads to the room are almost worn through, and breakfast was very minimal.

“It was like a Dateline episode where a woman is murdered”

It was big, but it smelled like pee, feces, and mold. I walked through a cobweb into the rental, saw cobwebs on the shower and all over the sliding glass area, and the sliding glass door wouldn’t open… we tried in case we had to flee for our lives. The air conditioner made sounds like something was living inside of it—scratching, clawing… honestly, there could have been squirrels in the walls.

I liked the layout of the room and the private loft, but a spider infestation made it uncomfortable.

The place looked run down and sketchy, with gnats everywhere, a fridge still stocked with food, cigarette burns on the cushions, and a feeling that my car might get broken into; it seemed like people lived there permanently.
