The place was very clean and the beach is just a 10‑minute walk away.

The price‑to‑value ratio was great, and the owner was very friendly, taking care of the pick‑up and even arranging tickets for the onward journey; the room itself was spotless. The only downside was a slight annoyance when I fell asleep, because next door there appears to be a chicken farm and the “men” get lively between 4‑5 am, but with earplugs it was no problem.

The bed was comfortable and the pool was nice, but the location was good only until nightfall when a dark road led to the property.

I would like to write something positive, the only thing that seems somewhat positive is the pool area. The worst accommodation I have stayed in for many years, with the worst service. It all started when I was checking in and the owner tried to charge me for an extra day of the reservation; when I asked, he said it was fine and that the price was that, even though I showed him my booking confirmation and he didn’t believe me. Coincidentally another guest arrived at that moment and we saw that the owner had made a mistake and was charging me for the stay of the guest who had just arrived, which was one day more; he made the mistake and never apologized, and he even had the card reader ready the whole time during the conversation about the wrong price. He never apologized and even became stubborn, insisting that the one who was wrong was me. What really angered me about the accommodation was when I reached the room and found a poop stain in the toilet; my friends who were in another room were surprised to find that the bathroom tap didn’t work and it even dripped underneath (with the risk that comes with mosquitoes). With both problems, I took two photos that prove it and asked him to come to the rooms to fix both issues. The owner came and told me it wasn’t a poop stain but that the water from Indonesia is black and stays embedded in the toilet (I have been in Indonesia for 3 months total and had never had that supposed case). In the other room, he couldn’t fix the tap and told us to stay in the same room or that he would give us a new one with a tap. I respectfully showed my discontent with the whole situation and the man started laughing, which is why I reached my greatest frustration and asked him to cancel the stay, saying yes but that I have to pay the booking commission for two nights. After trying to reason with him, he forced me to pay the booking commission for the two nights and I stayed one night in my room because it was already late, terrible.
