“I would never stay there again or recommend it to anyone”

Not much. The small room had nowhere to hang clothes, the TV didn’t work, and the only window faced straight into the inn’s workshop.

“The room, location and hosts were great. Would stay here again if down this way”

The accommodation had just opened, so we were advised about that; our room was exceptionally clean, with an ensuite, while others shared a bathroom. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom modern and clean. The hosts were fantastic, and even though the place sits above the pub, we didn’t hear any loud noises or have our sleep disrupted. It’s centrally located in town, with a great coffee shop across the road. However, there was no furniture in the room—no drawers, table, chair, or cupboards. The bathroom offered no place to store toiletries, lacking a vanity unit or shelving. There were also no tea or coffee making facilities, and it was odd to have nothing to use as a table.

“The funeral was for Col Atkins. His wife Gai was able to tell us a bit of history.”

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the beds were super, and the pizza we had Saturday night after the funeral event was very good.

“Pity I didn't have more time to engage with the pub's other services. Too busy with Vets Cricket.”

Setting off the alarm was a hassle trying to find a way out.

The pub was great, the staff were friendly, and the bathroom and room were exceptionally clean.
