The hotel sits right near the station, shops, restaurants, Betty’s Tea Rooms, and the Stray, making it very convenient. My attic room was clean, comfortable, and very quiet, giving me plenty of privacy for a good night's rest. The bed was super comfy, and even though the bathroom was small, it was spotless and the shower had great power. The only drawback was the stairs to the room, which were a bit tricky with all my bags, but the quietness of the attic room more than made up for it.

The location was excellent, everything was clean, the amenities and toiletries were high quality, and the service was great. They surprised me with an upgrade from a single room to a superior suite with a double bed, even though I had booked a single. Thank you so much 💖

I booked online from Scotland and the location fit my weekend needs. However, like many online hotel ads, the reality was unclear. The place is technically a hotel for business purposes but feels more like a lodging house. There was only one contact at arrival to give me keys, and I had to leave them in a box on departure. There was no reception area and every available space was a room. The staircase was very narrow. Roadside motels feel more welcoming.

I really enjoyed the lodge. It was clean, helpful, and easy to get into. The little treats—coffee and biscuits—were lovely. The bed, shower, and TV were superb, and the lamps were nice and warm. The town is at the end of Kings Road, just a few minutes from the station. All good—very happy.
