Cabañas Agua Dulce features a sun deck with ocean access, outdoor pool, and private balconies with hammocks. Air-conditioned rooms have minibars, wood furnishings, and simple décor. Private bathrooms with showers are standard, but hot water is not available. The eco-friendly property offers a shaded area with a ping pong table and continental breakfast daily. Seafood specialties and cocktails are served at the restaurant and bar, respectively.

The location was great, close to beautiful beaches and the Caribbean, with a nice restaurant and pool, air‑conditioning, and a hearty breakfast included. The housekeeping was limited, the staff weren’t very friendly, and we had to go to a different hotel to book excursions even though they were listed on the Cabanas Agua Dulce website.

Our flight to the island was cancelled due to force majeure, so they refunded the entire first night that was already booked. They re‑booked us on a flight the next day, and when we arrived at 08:00 am the hotel still gave us breakfast even though we weren’t supposed to have it yet. The staff were very good. There was a swarm of ants in the bathroom, and there was a misunderstanding when we tried to book a climb up the Pico with a contact the hotel provided.

Providencia feels like a special, magical place that somehow takes you back to the past with its simplicity and unique island culture. The location is excellent, close to beaches, areas for diving or cruising in warm, clean water, and colorful coral. The island services are basic and the hotel shows some areas for improvement, such as moth damage to the wood. The breakfast could use a bit more variety.
