The moment I walked in the whole room reeked of smoke even though I booked a windowless room, the mattress was practically cushion‑less and so soft that I woke up sore all over, the bathroom was tiny and narrow so I kept bumping into the sink, the door stuck, the shower head was broken and sprayed from the back as soon as I turned it on, the faucet sprayed water everywhere the moment it was opened, leaving the floor soaked, the price was steep for a single night, I understood the RM50 deposit but then being asked for an extra RM5 made no sense – was that a tip? and it seemed mandatory.

To be honest, my stay here was pretty unimpressive. The only thing that stood out was the free water, but that's about it. The room was a mess, with dust covering every surface, and the bed was a total disaster - the mattress was ancient and the pillow was basically a bag of cotton balls.

This hotel was a bit of a mixed bag. On the plus side, it was a great place to stay - فندق ممتاز, as the locals would say. However, the decor was a bit too fancy for my taste, and the room was a bit too جميل, if you know what I mean.
