The decoration of the common areas and the room, as well as the quality of the food, were excellent. The night we stayed was extremely cold for Morocco, near 0 °C, and the room heating wasn’t strong enough.

We’ve stayed in Morocco twice now, and this family‑run Riad surprised us in a good way. The siblings spent 12 years building it and everyone helps host guests. The building looks lovely, and our room was spotless and comfortable. The home‑cooked meals were DELICIOUS, and they grow or source their own food. Because of snow in the Atlas Mountains we had to take a detour, turning a 3‑hour drive into 7 hours. The host waited for us and served a late multi‑course dinner. We visited in December when it was 30 degrees outside; the host heated the rooms we stayed in, making them cozy. At night we had to turn the heater off for safety, but a thick blanket kept us warm enough that I slept through the night. The only warning is that we’re a family of four in two rooms and the hot water supply was insufficient. My son had a hot shower, while the rest of us took quick cold‑plunge style showers. I still love the stay, knowing resources are limited there, and I’ll come back for sure.

The Riad is beautifully decorated and offers a five‑star dinner experience with excellent service from a passionate owner. The room was very comfortable and well equipped, and we were welcomed with tea and a breakfast of very high standard.

The food was outstanding, surpassing other similar places in Morocco and definitely unexpected in Dades. It’s a family‑run operation and we interacted mostly with Abdellah, who took care of our needs and even guided us on a hike in the gorge. The room was a little cold because the central heating wasn’t turned on, and the replacement gas heater wasn’t as good.

Where do I even begin. The owners of this family run place have taken a lot of pains to ensure that their guests have the best possible experience. Whether it’s the authentic and beautifully decorated rooms, amazing food (top notch), exceptional hosts - this place has it all. Mostafa, Abdul and their sister who ran the kitchen made us feel so welcome and special. We felt like house guests, and not a “revenue stream”. Wish we had one more day here
