Only the location, a block from Gran Vía, mattered. They let us leave our luggage earlier. The elevator didn’t work, so we had to climb three floors by stairs. The tiny room was never cleaned, leaving barely any space to move.

CH Chelo sits steps from Madrid’s vibrant Chueca district and 150 m from Gran Vía, offering compact rooms with free Wi‑Fi and LCD TVs. Guests receive concierge assistance for tours, tickets, and local attractions. On‑site luggage storage adds convenience. Nearby Chueca and Tribunal Metro stations provide access to tapas bars, restaurants, and the 80‑m‑away Fuencarral shopping corridor and alternative market.

The location is unbeatable if you want to be in the center, which naturally brings constant noise, but our room on the street had good openings and a blind that reduced it a lot. The bathroom is extremely small; a larger person would struggle to use it. The price‑quality ratio is disappointing, especially given Madrid’s irrational rates.

I booked for 2025 but when I arrived the hotel claimed it was 2026; even though a room was available, the place was very ugly and they wouldn't let us stay, and they didn't refund any money, keeping the full amount. Even after two requests they refused to return any part of the payment and took everything without providing service.

Everything was close to the sights, but the elevator was out of service when we needed it.

The room was comfortable, very clean, centrally located, and the staff were very friendly and pleasant. However, the elevator failed at one point.
