The hotel is very cute, featuring a small on‑site restaurant and another next door. My room was nice and exceptionally clean, and the location worked well for us. The bed was comfortable. The shower was old but still clean. The air conditioner cycled on and off; when it shut off the room warmed up quickly, which kept me up during the night.

It was budget friendly, cute and clean on Route 66. The older property still offered a comfortable bed. Del’s restaurant right next door served decent food. Check‑in was easy. The very old neighborhood felt safe. I heard a cowboy singer with a guitar at the motel in the evening. Parking was right outside the door. A very good donut shop was a couple of blocks away. It wasn’t fancy but it was comfortable and had everything we needed at a good price. The older property and Tucumcari’s many empty businesses were noticeable.

A beautiful and charming hotel right on Route 66! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and our room was cozy, spotless, and very comfortable. We absolutely loved the atmosphere and the unique character of the place. It was a wonderful experience and the perfect stop along Route 66. Highly recommended!

Clean room—an actual shower! Yeah! Not a shower in a tub. Next door, the restaurant turned out to be great. Route 66 in Tucumcari seems abandoned with many boarded‑up buildings—not a pretty neighborhood. But Amara was kept up.
