The staff were very welcoming; Maureen was very flexible with breakfast times and quickly dealt with the ant problem in the bathroom. Dinner was good and she recommended a captain to organize a pre‑safari. The ant infestation was massive everywhere, making it impossible to relax on the balcony and enjoy the beautiful river view because the ants would climb on us quickly. The bathroom infestation was fixed, but not the common area. The facilities are old but cozy.

The location was very nice with a view of the river. We were warmly welcomed and received breakfast and dinner. The only downside was the many ants.

The location was wonderful. The garden was lovely and the atmosphere very relaxing. Especially the attentive care from Maureen, the host, felt incredibly pleasant. The neighborhood was quiet, a 5‑minute walk from the main road. Great! Unfortunately, our shower didn’t get hot, but we were moved to another empty room where we could shower warm. Very thoughtful. The goods train passes by three times a night with loud honking. It’s not chill, but they can’t do anything about it.

I loved the pretty house, the lovely garden, and the riverside spot, but the loud music all night made it impossible to sleep—so annoying, especially since it happens every night. The place itself isn’t at fault, but it’s too frequent, so action is needed.
