“Very comfortable, home-from-home, with lovely hosts.”

The ladies were welcoming, chatty, and helpful. Breakfast offered a great variety—fresh fruit, juice, seeds, gorgeous yoghurt, cereals, and fully cooked items—served quickly in a lovely room, and the location is convenient for town and coast. The TV was a bit small for my older eyes, which is a personal preference, and I hadn’t realized I usually watch streamed services instead of the available Freeview; there’s free internet, but you’re not really in Torquay to watch TV.

“Terrific Torquay”

We loved the central spot: about a 10‑minute walk to the beach and 15 minutes to the train station. Breakfast was marvelous and plentiful, a highlight of our trip, and the teas, coffee, kettle, and chocolate bars in the room were very welcome. Sharon and Amanda were kind, helpful, and efficient. Staying in your beautiful home, even just a few days, was a pleasure, and we’re already looking forward to a return. The only downside was that we were on the 3rd (top) floor, so many steps had to be climbed before reaching our room—a note for those with mobility issues. Wi‑fi on the top floor was a bit temperamental, but we managed.

The hosts were genuinely friendly and made us feel welcome right away. The room we stayed in was clean, amazing, and great value. Breakfast was delicious, freshly cooked, and the location was perfect. No complaints.
