Agriturismo Reggia Saracena, a rustic Mediterranean estate 10 km from Agrigento’s historic centre, produces its own bread, olive oil and wine. Guests enjoy traditional cuisine on a 100 m² terrace, air‑conditioned rooms with classic furniture, sofa, TV and garden‑view balconies, and free Wi‑Fi in public areas. A seasonal outdoor pool offers complimentary swimming, while a bus stop 100 m away connects to Agrigento, Porto Empedocle and the sea (10‑minute drive).

Giuseppe is a very friendly and helpful host in a lovingly decorated place. The breakfast room and the staircase to the first floor are worth seeing. The garden, with its many secluded spots, is simply wonderful. Bella, the shepherd dog who always wants to play with his stones, is just great. The dinner is highly recommended, and Giuseppe cooks excellently. All in all, very recommended.

The reception was extremely friendly, breakfast was more than fine, and dinner was plentiful and divine! For everything else, you’ll be dazzled by the unique features. We did have a shower‑cabinet leak in the bathroom, the pool edges were average, and the gym was run‑down, but overall it’s a brilliant, colorful mix full of kindness.

I could enjoy a meal on site and check in around mid‑afternoon, and the owner welcomed us warmly. The drive to the Valley of the Temples takes about 15 minutes, and kids are allowed. However, the building and its facilities feel very dated, and the atmosphere is heavy; cleaner, more modern places suit us better.
