The owner runs two places in Jaisalmer – the Ratan and the Renuka, both about fifty metres apart on the same street. I was lucky enough to be “upgraded” to the Renuka Hotel. In the heart of Gandhi Chowk, I was welcomed warmly. The cleanliness was impeccable, the peace was perfect, and the view from the rooftop restaurant was stunning. The chef, ever attentive, prepares excellent meals at any hour.
