I reported my negative feedback to the hotel a few days ago, mainly about our misinterpreted dinner reservation, and they replied politely but offered no compensation after they charged us the à la carte price instead of the pre‑booked dinner rate. In such cases other hotels would reimburse the overcharge, but they only asked for a thick apology, which I found dismissive. We dined there as a party of four with a half‑board reservation at 33 Euro each, expecting 132 Euro total, yet we paid 180 Euro for four people without drinks, 48 Euro more. Moreover, the dinner quality was unsatisfactory; it seemed they made a quick beef soup half with frozen vegetables, and the Wiener schnitzel was not truly high‑quality for the price. The apple strudel was fine.

The room size was fine, breakfast was excellent, cleanliness was good, and the proximity to the train station was convenient. Checking in was difficult; the receptionists struggled with German, which was frustrating since we were also not fluent, though I can speak German quite well. None of our original requests from the booking were met: we did not receive separate mattresses or two blankets. The single huge blanket was thin, slippery, and too large for two older adults to manage together. The bathroom hand cream was empty. We had expected a bathtub, but the shower was more comfortable. Despite our request, both windows faced noisy construction. We were placed on a different floor, but we asked to be close to each other because we were 70+ and find it hard to navigate. The dinner we had ordered and apparently confirmed at booking was ignored; they could not find it in their system that we had ordered dinner for two evenings for four people at the advertised 33 Euro half‑board rate, but instead charged us about 40 % more. Likely the confusion arose because they offered us a table reservation, which we accepted and requested a time slot in case of a full house or conference, but the restaurant was empty that evening. The whole experience gave the impression that we were intentionally discriminated against and none of our requests were taken into account.

Parking was fine, but there was construction noise at 6 am from the big renovation next to it.

Lage, Zimmer, Freundlichkeit Die weibliche Bedienung an der Bar war spitze, aber auch der Barkeeper danach war super. Das man im Heimatland an der Rezeption oftmals english sprechen muss
