The Gold Leaf Hotel of Dewey is a beachfront hotel in Delaware, situated less than 2 blocks from the beach and within 500 meters of Dewey Beach and Rehoboth Bay. The hotel features rooms with cable TV, coffee makers, microwaves, and refrigerators, as well as select rooms with french balconies. Parking is limited to one space per room.

The place was very clean and fresh, and the staff were friendly, but they somehow had two bookings for me that I didn’t know about; after I told them before my stay, they cancelled the booking and voided the $525.24 on 9.7.26, and I’m still waiting for the credit to appear in my bank balance even though it has been pending and deducted from my account.

The staff went above and beyond and everything was very clean, with no negatives.

The location was great, but the check‑in process and getting my luggage up to the room were a bit of a hassle, though not too much.

We stayed at the Hyatt Place across the street last summer and tried Gold Lead this year; it was much cheaper, super clean, the beds were very comfortable, the staff were very nice, and it’s on the ocean side of the highway, so we’ll definitely come back.

Being senior citizens, we were placed as far from the elevator as possible, and the bathroom floor was so slick that my partner slipped, breaking a wrist and elbow; the parking garage is too narrow, but the proximity to the beach is a plus.
