“Great stay”
The spot is great, but it feels too central for my taste.
“Ļoti patika gan viesnīca, gan Dobele”
I liked the simple, clean, and orderly hotel at a good price, located right in the heart of Dobele. The reception staff were friendly; the room had a TV, a balcony, and dark curtains. Parking was available at the hotel. I appreciated the nice Dobele photo on the wall. Breakfast was very good for the price and plenty, even the goat omelette with cheese. For dinner at the hotel café, there was a huge selection for meat lovers and the dishes were tasty, but the vegetarian options were non‑existent, and even vegans were not considered – a request I’d like to see addressed as life changes and meat‑free travelers visit Latvia. Also, a lighter pillow would help since the high pillow made it hard to sleep, though I managed without it.
“Normāla viesnīca, ja nepieciešams pārnakšņot tā, lai nākamajā rītā būtu atkal darboties spējīgs.”
The hotel room was set up very reasonably, with only what was necessary for an overnight stay, and everything worked. The TV system wasn’t very “advanced,” which was fine, but when I first entered the room and tried to understand a brand‑new remote, it was confusing. It was disappointing that the TV system didn’t allow me to skip ahead in a program – you had to start from the beginning – and the retro feel was a bit too much.
“A good choice to stay in the centre of Dobele”
Breakfast was excellent, except for the coffee - a wide choice and tasty. The room was spacious and nicely furnished. The location of the hotel is perfect - in the centre of the town. Coffee was not very good. There was no fridge or teapot in the room
The room and bathroom were spacious and the bed was comfortable. At night, a fan in one of the rooms turned on, probably due to a battery issue, and we couldn’t turn it off. It blew directly over the single bed.
