The location and accommodation were excellent, with a lovely pool and quiet surroundings; getting into the city by public transport was easy, and Armand is a relaxed host who loves old‑timers.

Right in the city centre, close to the station. There’s a courtyard for parking bikes with charging, a pool, air‑conditioning, and a very friendly host.

The pool is very pleasant, making you forget you’re in the heart of Lyon, and the air‑conditioning is a relief during this heatwave. The host is welcoming but a bit too present, living opposite the room and making us feel watched; breakfast was shared with other tenants but wasn’t clearly explained, and at 10:45 am (for an 11 am departure) the owner knocked on our glass door, opened it without knocking, and asked, “Is it ready?” We were honestly a bit annoyed.

We had a city‑view room; it was quiet, perfect for us who woke up early for an exam. Armand was very friendly and the breakfast was very hearty! A small bonus in the heat: the air conditioning.
