“A nice hotel but certainly not luxury”
The hotel looked impressive and offered plenty of space to relax and sunbathe, plus a solid selection of pools. Both the Greek and Asian restaurants served very good food and the service was excellent; we enjoyed our meals at each. The Main Bar was another highlight, with a lovely atmosphere and a great sea view, especially at sunset. The bar staff were attentive and friendly, mixing great cocktails that made our evenings enjoyable. As a young couple, we especially liked the White Party on Wednesday night, which had a fantastic vibe and music.
On the downside, a few incidents fell short of what we expected from a hotel of this calibre. We found a roughly 10 cm plastic cable tie in the middle of a burger at the Street Food stall. We showed it to the kitchen staff, but when we returned about five minutes later to take a photo, they said it was gone. We didn’t receive a sincere apology. We reported the issue to Guest Relations at reception, but they simply asked what we wanted in return, and no one followed up to explain how it happened or what was done about it, which was especially disappointing given the seriousness. Another evening, we were served a wine glass with a noticeable amount of lipstick on the rim, raising further cleanliness concerns. Service by the pool could also improve. On our first day, a sparkling water ordered from the poolside staff took over 15 minutes to arrive. The pool bar often felt chaotic and disorganised, as bartenders seemed to handle both poolside orders and direct bar orders without a clear system, making it feel more like interrupting staff than relaxing. Restaurant reservations were another frustration: we stayed six nights but couldn’t eat at the Grill because it was already fully booked for the next seven nights. The hotel app allowed reservations only three days in advance, so we were unsure how it could be fully booked so far ahead. The breakfast buffet was also disappointing, with a limited and repetitive selection over the six‑night stay.
