“Was not an enjoyable experience”
We’ve stayed at this property for Thanksgiving for 27 years. It’s close to everything and has a full kitchen for cooking dinner. The building is under major renovations, and the property management didn’t inform guests that the elevator had been out of service since mid‑September. Our room was on the 4th floor. Grinding and banging started at 8:00 am. At one point power went out and we were told to stay in our room until it came back on because there was no emergency lighting in the hallways or staircase. They put out glow sticks and flashlights. We didn’t stay the full duration; we packed up and left. We requested a refund and, after negotiation with the hotel, we agreed on reimbursement for our parking and half of our stay even though we left early due to the conditions.
