It was my first time in Daejeon and after a long search I chose Time Terminal Hotel Daejeon 2nd by Anook, which left me very satisfied; the only small issue was that coffee was available but there was no tea or sugar, otherwise it was great.

The room was tidy, modern and stylish, yet there was no heater so we were freezing; the staff explained that central heating was used, so it wasn’t their fault.

After confirming the accommodation details, room style, and booking site over the phone, I booked the room, but upon arrival I was asked to pay an additional ~60,000 yuan; when I requested a refund, I was told it wasn’t possible, which was very unpleasant. I had no choice but to pay; the TV in the room couldn’t be used, and the staff came twice but couldn’t fix it, which was also unreasonable.

The location is nice, close to the bus terminal with good nearby restaurants and convenience stores, but the check‑in time on weekends is odd; the walls are not soundproof at all, so avoid rooms near the elevator. The room description claimed a game console was present and photos showed it, but there was none, and the toilet broke down by the end of my stay, so I won’t return.
