“BENINO”
I liked the spot, but the place is on the 3rd floor of an old building with no elevator, which wasn’t mentioned when I booked.

The location is fantastic in the city centre, the vibe is great, and we really appreciated how clean the apartment was.

The place is perfect for walking around, with plenty of locals and restaurants nearby, the host was helpful, and I’d definitely recommend it when visiting Modena.

The neighbourhood and the day were good, but the main issue was the “Free Parking” advertised. In reality there is no parking available: the spots are public street parking meant for residents, and it can be very hard to find one. We arrived around 22 h on a Friday night and spent almost two hours circling before finding a spot. It’s also not possible to stop in front of the building to unload luggage because the streets are in a ZTL (limited‑traffic zone) and cars are prohibited. Friday nights were crowded because of the many bars in the area. Once a spot was found, we had to walk about ten minutes (midnight) with our bags and our 8‑year‑old child to reach the apartment. The situation may be different on weekdays, but for a weekend arrival, our experience of “Free Parking” clearly ruined our stay in Modena, especially since the apartment must be vacated at exactly 10 h on the day of departure. The mention “Free Parking” seems quite misleading, as it may give the impression that free and easily accessible parking is available nearby, which was not our experience at all. Regarding the apartment itself, some details should be reviewed, notably several outlets with exposed cables and handmade finishes. Finally, after such a complicated and late arrival, a simple bottle of water would have been appreciated.
