It’s close to Borobudur, reachable by bike, and all other attractions can also be reached by bicycle. The view outside the window is beautiful, and you can see Borobudur from the hotel. Google Maps is somewhat inaccurate, so you need to double‑check the location.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and the food—probably the best fried noodles and noodle soup around Yogyakarta—was excellent. The cleanliness was a bit lacking: both the sheets and towels were visibly stained even though they had been washed.

The stay was absolutely exceptional from start to finish. The staff are amazing, always ready to help and serve. The accommodation is perfect, located on a quiet street with a magnificent view from the room, and the surrounding city is beautiful. Free bicycles are provided, which is great for exploring the area. The breakfast is hearty and truly delicious every morning. It’s a place I recommend without hesitation. The only two minor issues were the 4 am prayer call, which can be surprising if you’re not aware beforehand—a local custom to know before booking, not a hotel fault. Also, during a guided tour with the hotel driver, a conman approached us saying the palace was closed and directed us to a fake art gallery where we paid for nothing; the driver was with us and could have warned us, but he didn’t. It’s an isolated detail in an otherwise fantastic stay.
