The location is ideal for people who like peace; Donia Huys sits just outside the village and is beautifully surrounded by forest. Breakfast was delightful, and the dining area offers a warm view thanks to wood on the walls. The room is large enough to fit all my stuff. We had read beforehand that the beds were on the soft side, and that was true—at about 75 kg I found the bed too soft, though the pillows were fine. Check‑in and check‑out are computer‑based, with little staff interaction, giving the hotel a somewhat impersonal feel. The bedroom is poorly ventilated; the bathroom has a grille, but no fan turns on when the light switch is used, so moisture isn’t expelled well—only the open window brings fresh air, and there’s no cross‑ventilation.
