The hotel sits just outside the subway exit, with a park right in front that’s perfect for a morning stroll; about a 10‑minute walk takes you to Dalian Department Store where I had a meal, and there’s a McDonald’s nearby where I grabbed ice cream; the shower offered plenty of hot water and was very comfortable. However, although the bathtub was there, I couldn’t fill it with water.

I’m grateful the hotel upgraded me to a free room, which met my desire for a high floor; the open‑plan suite was fantastic, the rooftop bar was very comfortable, and as an IHG member I could postpone checkout until 14:00. No complaints.

The room felt spacious and comfortable, and the service that ordered a cake for us was very thoughtful, with the recommended bakery delivering delicious treats; stepping out of the metro station right onto the hotel was incredibly convenient, the bright, lively décor was pleasing, and the staff’s attitude was outstanding.
