“Great value, very comfortable, top location”

The bed was comfortable, all facilities were clean, and I slept well; it wasn’t a true luxe glamping stay because the tents were small and close together, but for the price it’s a perfect 10/10 right in the centre of town. I was just unsure where to refill our water bottle and John happened not to be around when I needed to ask—was the bathroom sink water potable? Are we allowed to enter John’s private kitchen? A little notice would clear that up.

“Con man”

Nothing, on a rough council estate in the back garden of a council house. We didn’t stay; the owner refused to come out to meet us, couldn’t access the key, and said he would have to charge us extra. We were 15 minutes early after traveling 220 miles to get there. The next door was a slum; we looked over the fence to see the tent, dirty and disgusting. I need to get my money back and have him removed. Not happy.

“Make up your own mind but please read first.....”

The tents had everything you could need and the spot was great, but the description said it was in someone’s back garden and I never imagined how tiny it would be in the middle of a council estate. It felt like the strangest glamping, a cramped 4‑tent setup surrounded by weeds, a walkway littered with laundry, and a huge water vat with green water. We had to wander through their house along a cluttered path and a messy kitchen hidden behind a curtain. We got a downstairs toilet and an upstairs bathroom/shower, but it was odd staying in someone’s back garden and using their facilities. Being so close to other campers made it hard to keep quiet; the tent next to us was zipping and unzipping all night, a loud cough came from the house, and women in another tent laughed loudly. It’s not the best 🙈
