This is our third stay at the Fir Trees and we’ll definitely return for a fourth. The food was amazing, the bar food lovely, breakfast exceptional, the staff friendly, and the rooms were very clean and comfortable at a very fair price. Absolutely nothing to complain about!

The room was comfortable and the hotel was in a convenient spot, but what happened later that evening completely ruined the positives. There were no reception staff when we needed help. We went to the bar and were denied another drink, told to come back in half an hour for the residents’ bar. When we returned, we were treated very poorly and made to feel extremely unwelcome. It was especially disappointing to see the owner and his friends continue drinking while paying guests were treated like that. We were staying overnight and expected basic courtesy and respect, but we left feeling embarrassed and very disappointed.

The hotel was well‑situated near the city center, and the room was pleasant, quiet, and very spacious, but there was no dining service.

The hotel was comfortable & clean. The food was not good. Dinner was very overcooked & the small breakfast was bad. all I could eat was the beans 😪

The rooms could use a bit more soundproofing; the walls feel very hollow and I could hear the next door snoring.
