The place was very nice.
“Overall, it was a good stay.”
I really liked how clean and peaceful the property was; the rooms were comfortable and the staff made the stay pleasant and easy, and there wasn’t anything significant that I didn’t like.
Convenient location, good staff, excellent service. 👍👍👍
The location was excellent and the place was undisturbed and calm, but the fan was noisy.
“A simply delightful stay”
I stayed recently at the Kandyan Lounge for four nights while visiting friends who live close by; this is a gem of a place which is absolutely immaculately clean, a small family‑run hotel where all the staff did everything they could to make our stay memorable. Located on a hill, the views are lovely and the sound of birds is beautiful. The room we stayed in was very very clean and had everything we needed—tea, coffee, water, etc., which were regularly replenished. We had a number of meals here, all freshly cooked and beautifully presented, with exquisite flavours. We ate all our meals outside on the terrace and it was lovely watching the world go by below. The hotel is an easy 15‑minute walk from the Ranawana Temple, home of one of the tallest standing Buddhas in the world, a site worth visiting. The Tea Fortress is a six‑minute walk where you can’t buy good quality teas as well as eat lovely food in the tea room upstairs. A twenty‑minute Tuk Tuk ride takes you into Kandy, a spiritual centre for some of the world’s main‑stream religions, home of the Temple of the Tooth, the Botanical Gardens, local markets, and a beautiful lake. All in all this is a must‑visit gem; we will definitely return.
