Minh Thanh Sa Pa Hotel

This is a pretty good hotel/guesthouse for a short stay. It’s quiet, has everything you need, and the staff/owners are welcoming and friendly. The amenities are good, making it a comfortable and convenient choice if you’re only in town for a night or two. The only drawbacks are that there’s no elevator and no street‑facing window, but that didn’t bother me—I slept well for the one night I stayed. It’s a bit “far” from the centre if you’re walking, and the terrain is hilly, but you can easily get around that by taking a Grab taxi.

The staff are very helpful and will give you discounts on your activities. They are very attentive and will attend to your needs. Location is very ideal and neighbourhood is quiet. For their future guests ask them first before booking anything because their prices are lower even for the sleeper bus from Hanoi to Sapa. Highly recommended.

The windows face the road, so it’s very noisy, and early in the morning the lower floor had construction. The hotel feels empty, so why cause guests this discomfort? Close up and finish the renovation quietly. We were on the road for almost a full day and really wanted to rest, sleep. The location is extremely inconvenient; you have to climb up to get to cafés, and a good large store is 20 minutes away.

The room and beds were clean and comfy. Staff were a lovely family who were very helpful when they provided me with a brush to clean my shoes after a muddy hike!

I found the place spotlessly clean and the bed super comfy, and the owners were genuinely friendly. The shower was great and the water stayed hot. The town centre isn’t too far, but the walk from the hotel is uphill and pretty steep, taking about 15 minutes. Grab is available, yet motorbikes get to the centre faster because cars get stuck in traffic. The walls are thin, which usually isn’t an issue, but a loud family on the same floor made it tough to sleep; the owners asked them to keep it down after we mentioned it, so it wasn’t the hotel’s fault.
