Breakfast was an exceptionally cool selection, personally prepared for me… I was the only hotel guest that morning.

I can only recommend this inn! It stands out with a family‑like vibe, a warm welcome from the hostess, and staff that are very friendly and attentive. The kitchen also deserves high praise—artists work behind the stove.

The room was unusually large for the area, and even though our flat‑roofed room reminded us we were in Appenzellerland, the facilities were practical and working, the bathroom looked almost new, breakfast was delicious, and the hotel is just a one‑minute walk from the Postauto / public‑transport stop.

The outstanding friendliness of the hosts, especially when we needed help, was remarkable. The menu offered an exceptional variety, and the dinner was delicious. The room facing the street was a bit noisy, but after midnight it was completely fine.
