Located in central Sandnessjøen on Alsten Island, Scandic Syv Søstre overlooks the Seven Sisters Mountains and is 60 meters from the Hurtigruten Ferry Terminal. The hotel offers free WiFi, soundproofed rooms, and some with wooden flooring and mountain or sea views. The Syv Søstre Restaurant serves fresh seafood and local dishes. Hiking and boat tours are nearby, with the Botnkrona Peak 15 minutes away.

The location, reception, and comfort were good, but parking was an issue.

The service was excellent from the moment we checked in, with staff helping us with a couple of practical things and greeting us with smiles and friendliness, even after we misplaced our keys. The staff were truly pleasant. The only downside was the lack of a USB charger in the room, but otherwise the facilities were clean and well kept.

The hotel’s central location is the best spot for a hotel in Sandnessjøen. The breakfast spread was great, though a bit pricey. The staff were friendly and helpful. However, the breakfast restaurant lacked trays for plates, a teapot, teacups, juice glasses, cutlery, etc. Perhaps this isn’t standard practice in Norwegian hotels, but it should be changed. I also missed hangers to put shirts, trousers and suits in my room – basic, especially for a three-night stay. My room was located far away on an extremely long corridor, which was a hassle when you’re older and have heavy luggage. It should have qualified for a price discount.
