The host kept me in the loop, and the place sits in a calm spot with parking on hand. The kitchen is a bit bare but does the job, and the bed comes as a pull‑out sofa.

It’s tucked away in a tiny village surrounded by woods. The catch is that the village observes Shabbat, so you’re not allowed to drive in or out on Friday night or during the day on Saturday; the hosts let you know about this only after booking, not in the listing. That didn’t bother me, but it could for others.
