The spot is great, right next to the train line, and only a 10‑minute walk to the city center via the rail, keeping the noise away for a calm stay. The room offers a view of the waterfall, is roomy, spotless, and well maintained, and the breakfast is good. The only downside was a bit of dampness, which is expected given the location.

This cozy guesthouse is run by a lovely family, and the terrace breakfasts overlooking the waterfall are a real highlight. The room is spacious and comfortable, the surroundings are beautiful, and you can hike to Ella Rock directly from the guesthouse. The owner also has a tuk‑tuk available if needed. The only drawback is the location if you arrive with large luggage; the tuk‑tuk drops you about a hundred meters away, and walking to Ella’s main street takes about 15 minutes via the railway line. There are only four trains a day, so it’s wise to bring a flashlight for nighttime.

The place is fantastic, with a stunning view and a family that’s incredibly welcoming. The breakfasts are delicious, and overall the stay was excellent value for money.
