The Wi‑Fi worked surprisingly well. The room was small but had enough storage and workspace, a very comfortable armchair, and a nightstand with a reading lamp. The owner kindly carried my bike bags up for me, and the bike had a nice garage. Breakfast was very good and nothing was pre‑packed. The location was very quiet. The only downside was that the restaurant was closed.

Breakfast was excellent, check‑in was hassle‑free, rooms were spotless, and check‑out staff were very courteous and accommodating. They provided great tips for local dining, all within walking distance and tasty. Highly recommend and will return.

When I arrived, the room was warm, but the heating was turned off in the evening. At near‑freezing outside temperatures that’s a no‑go. I woke up several times during the night, shivering under the relatively thin duvet.

We didn’t use breakfast. The room was clean and quiet. Parking is available on the hotel lot or another nearby lot. On request we received a kettle to take to the room. The limited check‑in hours and the restaurant hours, plus how they were communicated, were a bit inconvenient. We underestimated the distance to Bamberg (about 20 min by car, depending on traffic).
