“A hidden gem in Malindi – Absolutely wonderful!”

African House Resort is truly beautiful and charming, even more impressive in person than in photos. Everything was excellent during my three‑night stay: the room was comfortable, cleanliness impeccable, and breakfast delicious. The atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing, with a unique character that makes this hotel very special. A special thank you to Giovanna, the owner, for her wonderful hospitality and warm welcome; her personal attention makes a real difference. The value for money is exceptional. After 38 years, African House Resort has clearly maintained its charm and high standards. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would not hesitate to return. Nothing at all was lacking.

The whole place felt genuinely cozy, with the houses, the pollen, and the décor all giving off a nostalgic vibe. The distance to the beach, the town, and other activities was a real issue, especially because the road to the accommodation was a disaster.

I had a wonderful stay at African House Resort; the location was excellent and very convenient, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. I also loved the beautiful art and carefully chosen furniture, which gave the place a unique, stylish and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were friendly, helpful and professional throughout my stay. Overall, it was a lovely experience, and I would happily recommend this place to others. The breakfast could be improved, as it was not quite up to the standard of the rest of the accommodation.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious with a well‑working air conditioner, and the location was very convenient to the beach, which can be reached on foot. The building’s style was very particular and not to my taste, but that’s a personal opinion that doesn’t affect the review. The restaurant was really expensive compared to the average in Malindi, so we chose to dine out. The breakfast table and dishes were dirty, showing a lack of attention to detail, and we were practically the only guests.
