Everything else was fine. The room had an odd smell that could use better ventilation, the tray was missing, there was no soap (the dispenser was empty), and the breakfast didn’t suit our tastes.

I spent two nights in each room; the first was great—clean, modern, with a nice shower and bedside lights. The second was still well equipped but only had cold water and a single small lamp. Both rooms were fairly priced. The Dahl and Rotti Breakfasts, which we tried on two of the four mornings, were tasty, though the portions were a bit small. The only drawback was that breakfast wasn’t available before 8 am, which made it hard to catch early surf sessions when the wind was light, and on two of the four days we only received three toasts with a single fried egg, which was a bit disappointing.

I had a fantastic stay in Arugam Bay and can’t recommend this place enough. The bed was huge, breakfast was good, and every staff member was extremely helpful with any questions. The location is great. Highly recommend!

The location was perfect—just a one‑minute walk from the quieter part of the beach and the main street. The hotel owner is an incredibly friendly young guy who goes out of his way to help with anything you need. He lives next to the hotel with his family, and they make you feel completely welcome. Their warmth and hospitality really made our stay even more special! Nothing to add.

I liked the bedroom; the AC worked well. The location is nice, close to a supermarket and the sea, but you’d have to walk about 1 km to swim. Honestly, we felt the host cared more about offering us taxis and surf lessons than ensuring a good stay. We arrived at 13 h, check‑in was from 12 h, and the room wasn’t ready. The bathroom had containers for shower gel and shampoo.
