Located in downtown Florianópolis, the 3-star Rio Branco Hotel features a rooftop terrace with an outdoor swimming pool and panoramic views of the city and ocean. Each air-conditioned guest room includes a kitchenette, cable TV, minibar, safety box, and telephone. The hotel offers a breakfast area, laundry facilities, and services like transfers and city tours for an extra fee, within 800 meters of the bus station and 1 km from Beiramar Mall.

Breakfast was excellent with many options, lactose‑free milk, and plenty of biscuits that the kids loved; I couldn't try all the cakes. The shower was good, the beds were comfortable, even the extra bed was fine, and the blankets were clean. The bathroom exhaust fan didn't work (there’s no window in the bathroom), the bathroom door creaked like a horror film, which was annoying with three other people sleeping in the room. Parking is a plus.

The location and service were good, especially the night staff who were friendly and thorough; however, the morning check‑out was unpleasant because the attendant was quite rude. The room’s cleanliness was poor, with hair on the floor, old bedding, almost translucent sheets, and worn blankets. The blackout feature was missing—only a curtain—so by about 05:30 it was already bright inside. The breakfast was decent.
