Spending three unforgettable nights at Ororongo Tented Camp turned out to be the highlight of our Namibia adventure; the setting is stunning, but the people truly made it special. Huge thanks to Titus, Lucas, Emilia, Theopolina and Lienna for their genuine warmth, superb hospitality and attention to every detail. Our rhino tracking with Titus, Benjamin and Kavena was simply unforgettable, ending with an incredible close encounter with a magnificent male rhino. Ororongo blends exceptional service and food with a real commitment to conservation, leaving us with lasting memories and a strong desire to return someday.

The reserve is beautiful, wildlife is abundant and the food is decent, with a very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. However, the Wi‑Fi didn’t work (even though our little modem picked up a signal), there was no hot water in my room for the whole two days, and the air‑conditioning was missing, making the afternoon heat unbearable. Kids were splashing loudly in the pool despite my complaints. The worst part was arriving via Google Maps to find only a closed gate on the C35 with no sign, no lodge information and no doorbell; with barely any phone signal and no internet we called the lodge and got no answer. We were almost forced to drive 54 km to the next settlement before a number listed in the booking finally answered and sent someone. It’s really shameful not to give clear directions or have someone greet guests at the gate, at least a simple information sign.

My stay at this private reserve was absolutely fantastic, with a sense of exclusivity due to the limited number of tents. The chef's delicious cuisine, served by the friendly Lucas, and the comfortable calmness of the savannah made for a wonderful experience. Our guide, Titus, was enthusiastic and knowledgeable, making everything perfect.
