We stayed for one night, but it was fine. The value for money is great, and a few minutes by car there are several inexpensive places to eat. The reception is open 24/24 and coffee is offered in the morning. The room is spacious, equipped with a microwave and fridge. Excellent for travelers like us who prefer a roaming trip. The bathroom lacks a toiletry set and is separated from the bedroom by a side curtain.

The spot was centrally located, close to everything, but the building looked worn and threadbare. Flies buzzed in my room, and overall it could have been cleaner. A strong food smell lingered in the hallway, and the pictures on the website didn’t match the real place. My shower was dirty, and the only amenity was a bar of soap—no ice bucket at all.

We were near great shopping and the DuQuoin State Fair, but the front desk staff were rude and tried to charge us an extra $30 for a 15‑year‑old, even though the policy said “children 17 & under stay free with a parent.” They refunded it after we pointed out the mistake, but they were still grumpy. The double beds had only two flat pillows each, and there were no extra sheets or blankets. We’ve stayed here before and it was fine, but this time it was disappointing and we’ll look elsewhere next time.

The rooms were huge and spotless, the temperature was spot‑on, and my fur babies were happily welcomed—pet‑friendly hotels are the best! In fact, everything was perfect for me and my pets.
