“In the heart of the city”
A well‑located hotel in the heart of Lilongwe, close to shopping and restaurants. It sits on the main road, so traffic is audible day and night. The staff were very friendly and helpful, even calling the taxi driver who took me to the airport to check on me. There’s an on‑site Indian/Chinese restaurant that’s reasonably priced, though I didn’t eat there. The rooms have mosquito nets, hot water in the showers, and cable TV. I visited in winter, so I didn’t need the A/C. The power went out once for about two minutes before the generators kicked in. For the one night I stayed, I was satisfied and can recommend it to others. I booked a double deluxe room expecting a large bed, but they had run out and gave me a room with two full beds. Also, my mini fridge didn’t work. The room was on the first floor facing the main street, so it could get loud, but it wasn’t too disturbing.
