“Great centrally located hoel for exploring the area.”
Grandola sits in a central spot that makes exploring the Comporta area and nearby coastal villages a breeze, with plenty of interesting sites and tasty eateries. The beaches along the coast are spectacular, offering 40 miles of golden sand. The only downside was the weak Wi‑Fi.
The location is fantastic and parking is convenient, letting you reach the sea in no time. The air conditioning works flawlessly, even during the hottest days, and the staff are friendly. The breakfasts are a little basic, but that’s all you need before heading out the next day.
“Good accomodation, breakfast and staff”
This is a high‑quality bed‑and‑breakfast hotel with a nice pool and hot tub for those who prefer staying inside. We were lucky to get a room with a fully private terrace, which not all rooms offer. The staff were very helpful, giving my wife gluten‑free bread at breakfast. The coast, with opportunities for beach trips and bird watching, is nearby. The town itself isn’t particularly interesting, but there are some good places to eat. I enjoyed the free open‑air concert featuring a pop group and singer (maybe a tribute act?) and a woman playing the accordion for dancing, all aimed at locals.
It was a very relaxed and pleasant overnight stay, just one night.
