The staff were friendly, we could bring our two dogs, and we had a ground‑floor room at a reasonable price for a single night, which was why we chose this place after reading the reviews and seeing the star rating. However, the room had just been cleaned but still wasn’t clean—walls and door were dirty, the ice machine was broken, and the door lock was faulty. A dog’s ball rolled behind the bed and the room wasn’t cleaned for a while, so we were disappointed. We left tired from traveling and stayed because we had nowhere else to go. We were told we would get our deposit back, but after calling the main Motel 6 office a week later, we still have not received a refund.

We had to transfer two cats in dog crates from Texas to Massachusetts, which meant unloading the crates from our rental car into the room when we arrived and loading them back in when we left. Our room was on the ground floor and our parking spot was right outside the door, so unloading and reloading those crates was a snap. Also, a place to eat breakfast was just a hundred yards away from the motel, and access to a gas station and the interstate was likewise extremely convenient. Nothing else worth mentioning.
