The place felt authentic and cozy, and the hosts were welcoming and hospitable. There was nothing that bothered us during the stay, except that the kitchen could use a small tomato knife for slicing fruit.

“A house with a charm”

The house is beautiful and surrounded by a magical setting, full of charm. A small breakfast basket in the fridge is a nice touch, and you can sit outside when the weather is good and watch the ducks in the pond. We stayed in room 2, which is large and lovely, but the bathroom and small shower require climbing steep stairs, which could be an issue for some. (In room 1 the bathroom and shower are outside the room, just next to the shared kitchen, which can feel uncomfortable.)

The mill is a truly special place to stay. The apartment is beautifully presented and gives access to a lovely garden that was great for the dog. We were shown inside the mill and learned about the extensive restoration work the owners have done, which was fascinating. The shared kitchen facilities were excellent. I was a bit disappointed with breakfast; I hadn’t realized it would be self‑serve. The food was plentiful but a bit processed.
