“Hidden Gem with wonderful staff, great facilities & will definitely return.”
Sturdy spacious tent & comfy beds which were all made up & ready for our arrival with a personalised welcome sign which was a lovely touch. Nice little addition of a 'Snug' which we used on the rainy evenings to sit in & play cards, have a drink & keep warm. Electric point available inside for charging devices, playing music etc. We purchased Logs for the fire pit for £15 for a huge basket but after 20 minutes the rain saw us heading to the snug, but all wasn't lost as there was a nice little log burner to dry us off. The dogs on site are very friendly & we hired paddle boards for £20 each to take our 3 girls onto the river which was over the road with easy access. Life jackets also supplied. The entire site was clean with great facilities & smaller than i anticipated which meant it was quiet & not over crowded. A crate inside our tent was supplied with our own crockery & cutlery. The kitchen had everything you could want apart from an oven & microwave. Staff were on hand to answer any questions & give an initial tour on arrival. We had the site to ourselves & were very well looked after by our hosts. We had a comfortable stay & would love to return. Only thing that impacted our stay was the rainy weather & we got soaked when cooking our tea as the outdoor kitchen has no over head covering or roof which, to be fair at a camp site is stretch to expect indoor kitchen facilities. The Wi-Fi kept dropping the 2nd day so we struggled when planning the journey for our day trip or contacting anyone, but that didn't impact the over all stay
