Sleeping there was truly an experience: the house dates from the 16th century and some furnishings are from that era too. We liked the garden and the owner was very friendly. The only downside was that there was only one sheet for two people; when I asked if we could have a second sheet, the reply was 'a double bed, a sheet'. It was a funny answer, and luckily we had our own blanket in the car.

The spot was great—quiet, a bit isolated, surrounded by green and cool, perfect for recharging. Breakfast was well stocked with a bit of everything, and the owner was friendly, non‑intrusive, and respectful.
