“ラブホテルでした”
The hotel is close to Nagaoka Station, but when I booked I didn’t expect it to feel like a love hotel (laughs).

I found it very handy right in front of Nagaoka Station. The lack of a parking lot was a hassle, but a nearby coin‑parking spot made up for it, though I wished I’d had that info earlier. The bath water was a bit scanty and the shower worked fine. The toilet washlet was broken.

During the busy Silver Week, when everything else was booked, I managed to extend my stay and snag a room at 7 pm that night with kids, right near the station—really a lifesaver. The cold water dispenser was a nice perk.

The room had a strong cigarette smell.

The room lock can’t be opened from the inside unless you call the cloakroom, which feels like a lock‑up and was unbearable, so I left immediately. It’s a standard love hotel; knowing that, I wouldn’t stay for the price. The décor is bland, and the base price is listed in various places under 10,000 ¥, which also disappointed me.
