“Relaxing stay at Luxor - Female Solo Traveller”

I felt very welcomed at Cleopatra Hotel Luxor from start to finish. Mahmoud, the manager, made sure everything was perfect throughout my stay. The room was very spacious and had air conditioning, a small fridge, a TV, a balcony with a lovely view of the quiet street, and a very comfortable bed. One of the days, I had to wake up very early for a tour. Mahmoud was incredibly kind and prepared a box of snacks for me, so I would have something to eat in the morning. Such a thoughtful gesture! The people in Luxor are very kind, and the city has a much more relaxed and chilled vibe compared to Cairo. The temples are absolutely breathtaking. If you're planning to visit Luxor, I highly recommend Cleopatra Hotel Luxor on the West Bank, especially if you're looking for peace, tranquility, and great vibes. A small family‑run hotel where Mahmoud goes out of his way to make the stay pleasant, set in a quiet neighbourhood, but it isn’t wheelchair‑friendly because of the stairs.

“Eine gute Erfahrung”

We felt extremely comfortable; the rooms aren’t like those in international chains but they have character. The hotel sits in a neighbourhood with many Egyptians – perfect for experiencing local life. The terrace view and the meals were superb. Communicating with the hotel manager, who spoke excellent English and added archaeological insights to our visits, was a highlight. The kindness and calm in every interaction were outstanding, and we wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to travelers seeking authenticity and unique experiences – it was a real gain.

“Great potential, wonderful staff, but the bathroom needs attention”

We stayed at this place and found it stunning, with huge potential and in a very convenient spot for exploring the West Bank. The food was absolutely delicious and really well cooked, and the staff was excellent and super welcoming. However, there is a "but" — and the biggest issue for us was the bathroom. Unfortunately, it was nowhere near the standard of the beautiful room. It wasn't a matter of size, but rather cleanliness and convenience. The shower head didn't work properly and the water barely came out. Additionally, we were only provided with two towels, a single roll of toilet paper, and no liquid soap (we prefer liquid bottles, but adapted to the bar soap, so that wasn't a major deal). I really can't give a higher rating because if the bathroom had been in perfect condition and better equipped, this would have easily been a 10/10 stay. I want to emphasize again how wonderful the team was, especially the tall young man — unfortunately, I don't remember his name, but he took such great care of us and was exceptionally kind.
